UAE group opens first Telecom Concept Centre in Iran

Komtell, an affiliate of the Dubai-based Koohiji Group, today opened a state-of-the-art Panasonic Telecom Concept Centre in Tehran.
In addition to providing excellent customer care facilities, including a full fledged warranty for all products, the new showroom will be a centre for institutional and corporate clients to find networking solutions for their business needs.
"Komtell has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Panasonic Communications in Iran," said Srinivas Rajkumar, vice chairman and CEO of Koohiji Group. "Today our telecom machines account for some 80 per cent of the market."
"We are very pleased to see the Koohiji Group launching our first Panasonic Telecom Concept Centre in the region," commented Hajime Sakai, president of Panasonic Communications.
"Iran is the largest market for telecommunication products in the Middle East and in cooperation with Komtell, we hope to achieve a double digit growth by the end of 2003," added Sakai, who was recently on a business trip to Dubai.
Koohiji is a UAE group of companies with diversified business interests. Last year, the group's turnover topped Dhs 250 million. Panasonic brand is owned and marketed by the Japanese giant Matsushita.
