Emirates to start flying Dubai 2003 colours across the world
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, September 11 - 2003 at 16:00
- PRESS RELEASE
Emirates aircraft are being currently decorated with the colours of Dubai 2003 and will begin to carry the logo to various parts of the world starting this week.
Dubai 2003 branding will appear on a number of aircraft including the Airbus A330-200, Boeing 777-200 and Boeing 777-300. The display of the Dubai 2003 logo on the UAE's international airline is part of the ongoing emphasis on marketing of the event to local, regional and international audiences. The initiative will play an important part in building increased international awareness of the Annual Meetings being hosted by an Arab city for the first time. It is also the biggest annual gathering of the global financial community.
In addition, Emirates has started playing the TV Commercial 'Winds of Change' that has been especially developed for Dubai 2003, on all its aircraft. The commercial is being played as part of the Arrivals video for all flights arriving in Dubai and shows the transformation of the UAE into a dynamic and modern country that has become an international hub for business opportunities and investment.
The Emirates Group has been closely associated with the staging of the Annual Meetings since the beginning. Its Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, is also the President of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, which is readying the Dubai International Airport to receive the thousands of participants.
As Deputy Chairman of the Dubai World Trade Centre, Sheikh Ahmed is closely associated with the preparations of the Annual Meetings venue - the Dubai International Convention Centre - which is located within the DWTC complex.
