  • Saudi Arabia: Saturday, September 13 - 2003 at 14:25
  • PRESS RELEASE

Customers of DHL can now access information about shipments and services 24 hours a day with a free call from anywhere in the Kingdom to the express and logistics company's Call Center in Dhahran.

The new number is 800 345 0000, the digits 345 numerically corresponding to the dial pad buttons with the letters DHL.

At the same time, DHL has set up a Customer Care Department at their Dhahran headquarters specifically to handle queries, while as back-up and to continue providing personalized support for local customers DHL continues to operate its customer service departments in Riyadh and Jeddah.

"We get more than 2000 calls a day from customers who previously needed to remember three phone numbers, one each for Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Now, a single toll free 800 number is all that is needed to check the status of a shipment, or to enquire about the range of services that DHL provides in the Kingdom," said Mahmoud Haj Hussein, DHL Eastern Province Customer Services Manager. "With operations now centralized on our HQ in Dhahran, where all Customer Services are located right next to the hardware and software programs that support the Customer Service department, a team of dedicated, highly professional people are working with superior systems and equipment to provide a one stop solution with the fastest possible response times at any time of the day or night."

Recent investment in the newest information and communications technologies has transformed the DHL Call Center in Dhahran into one of the most advanced and efficient service operations in the Kingdom. The centralization policy and upgrading of equipment is in line with DHL operations worldwide and comes at a time when DHL's business in the Kingdom is enjoying a period of rapid growth.
