BaPDA participates in Gulf Engineering Forum in Bahrain

Dynamic non-profit organization, Bahrain Property Developers Association (BaPDA) further strengthened its position as the country's foremost representative body at the 15th Gulf Engineering Forum held in Bahrain this week.

The forum that is hosted by the Bahrain Society of Engineers in association with the Gulf Engineering Union was conducted under the aegis of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The focus of the event this year has been on Affordable Housing and provides a platform for an exchange of educational and informative inputs from local and regional experts from all GCC countries.

Mr. Aaref Hejres, Chairman of the Board of BaPDA spoke of the emphasis the Association places on providing opportunities for its members, and the unique platform that this Forum presents. "Despite the great challenges that our industry faces as a result of the problems of the global economy and changing needs, there remain opportunities for those who have understood what is the way forward and adopted sophisticated and practical methods to facilitate the process. Affordable and low cost housing is certainly the way forward and calls for greater examination and understanding. We are delighted to participate in this event with Gulf Engineering Forum who we see as an important part of that process. The Forum has over the years provided a dynamic exchange of expertise to contribute fresh ideas, new ways of approach and solutions to the challenges that we face. As an organization we are always on the look out for such opportunities that will be mutually beneficial to our members and to the industry at large. We ensure that BaPDA members are at a vantage point where they are aware of new challenges the industry faces, the changing trends and solutions, and can update their knowledge."

In addition to the Gulf Engineering Union, six major, well-reputed professional societies of engineers from Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and the Saudi Council of Engineers have contributed their efforts to the Forum.

BaPDA has conducted and participated in several conferences and seminars in the last year that have facilitated the exchange of information improving communication and increasing efficiency through shared experiences and expertise between members of the real estate industry in the region. It has initiated several action plans to improve education and professionalism to nurture a sound and supportive environment that benefits all, allowing for greater cooperation and understanding. This Forum is seen as a unique and invaluable opportunity for members.
