Khirbash receives World Bank-IMF senior delegation

The UAE Minister of State for Finance and Industry, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Khalfan Bin Khirbash, has welcomed a delegation of senior officials from the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

  • In the above picture, HE Dr. Khirbash is joined by Mr. Agustin Carstens, Deputy Managing Director, IMF, Mr. Shengman Zhang, Managing Director, World Bank Group and Mr. W. Paatii Ofosu-Amaah, Vice President and Corporate Secretary, World Bank Group. Ms Patricia Davies, Assistant Secretary for Conferences, World Bank Group/IMF was also present at the meeting.

The delegation met with the Minister at the new Dubai International Convention Centre, purpose-built for the event, to discuss final preparations. The officials expressed their admiration for the organizational work undertaken by the UAE to ensure the success of the Annual Meetings and the quality of the associated infrastructure.
