"The totally new Jeep Cherokee is designed for Middle East conditions and now delivers superior on-road refinement along with the legendary 60-year Jeep off-road capability that our customers in the region have come to expect," said David Glorius, Vice President and Director of the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep brands in the Middle East. "Cherokee customers will get all the capability of a true Jeep combined with perfect on-road manners and exceptional build quality."

The secret to the new Jeep Cherokee's dual capabilities - both on and off-road - is an all-new Jeep-engineered independent front suspension along with coil spring rear suspension and an all-new rack and pinion steering system.

Externally, the all-new Cherokee's good looks are combined with a stylish interior that provides exceptional spaciousness, particularly for rear passengers who now get more head, leg and shoulder room.

Under the bonnet, the all-new Cherokee gets more power and torque than the model it replaces from a new 3.7-litre V-6 PowerTech petrol engine that delivers 211 bhp. A new four-cylinder 2.4-litre PowerTech engine will be introduced early next year.

"The all-new Cherokee can tackle any trail that any other Jeep can handle and has already beaten the legendary Rubicon, the toughest off-road track in North America," said Glorius. "But what this capability means to everyday drivers is the confidence of knowing they're behind the wheel of a tough, rugged, durable vehicle that can handle just about anything on-road or off."
