With computers set up at regular intervals in the concourse area, and a specialised Press Centre that features the best in technology and facilities, the members of the media will have no difficulties in filing stories, uploading audio and video content, and even conducting live interviews. The press card also gives the journalist access to the Meetings and the various events that will be surrounding them, including the Programme of Seminars and the Dubai 2003 Regional Exhibition.

The Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund were first held in Washington DC in 1946. They are hosted by an international city one year in three. The UAE and Dubai were selected because of their highly developed transportation and logistics infrastructure, growing importance as a financial hub and its established position as an oasis of opportunity.
