Towell Auto Centre announces Mazda CX-5 to be launched in Oman next year

Towell Auto Centre's highly awaited prodigy - Mazda CX-5 will be launched in the Sultanate early next year. The stunning car was recently unveiled at the Dubai Motor Show, and has garnered rave reviews at the event which marks its debut appearance in the GCC.
Already a celebrity of sorts, the Mazda CX-5 has been heralded as the first in a long line of Mazda models to incorporate its latest SKYACTIV technology - a futuristic technology that gives higher fuel efficiency without compromising on performance. At the Frankfurt Motor Show, where the model was first unveiled in Europe, critics and consumers alike gave it rapturous reviews.
"The 'CX' in CX-5 represents Mazda's line-up of crossover SUV vehicles, which also includes the Mazda CX-7 and Mazda CX-9. The CX-5 will be the compact model in the series. We are excited about the Mazda CX-5, given the excellent reviews it has received just across the border at Dubai Motor show; and are eagerly awaiting its arrival and subsequent launch in the Sultanate. Being a compact SUV in the CX series, we are confident of its success in Oman," says Annurag Chawla, Head of Marketing and Communications, TAC.
To deliver adequate acceleration with exemplary gas mileage, the Mazda CX-5, stretches the bounds of efficiency with a 13.0:1 compression ratio, direct injection, variable intake- and exhaust-valve timing, and a carefully tuned four-into-two-into-one exhaust manifold. The Atkinson cycle allows use of an extra-long expansion stroke for maximum mileage with no need for premium gasoline. The new SKYACTIV design is 10% lighter, 30% lower in friction, 15% more fuel efficient, and 15% more energetic at low and midrange rpm.
