BenQ unveils digital projector partnership with Jacky's Electronics
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, September 21 - 2003 at 12:09
- PRESS RELEASE
BenQ (pronounced BEN-CUE), the region's leader in digital lifestyle products, announced today it has signed a strategic partnership with Jacky's Electronics that will see the major conglomerate distribute BenQ's range of digital projectors across the United Arab Emirates.
"Digital projectors are a fast-growing technology product in the Middle East, with more businesses, families and young people using them at work and in the home than ever before," said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.
"Jacky's is an ideal partner for BenQ, both in terms of their high reputation and their tenacity in ensuring sales and customer satisfaction," he added.
BenQ has named Jacky's as a Preferred Partner, ensuring that the conglomerate benefits from exceptional prices and access to the popular series of BenQ digital projectors. Jacky's stores will be among the first in the Emirates to supply BenQ's full product range, including seven new models launched in Summer 2003.
"We've earned our position as one of Middle East's leading electronics suppliers because of our consistent commitment to providing quality products - we only deal with the best brands," said Soni Tolani, executive director, Jacky's Electronics.
"Jacky's is pleased and proud to be named as BenQ's Preferred Partner for projectors, as we believe this market has enormous growth potential and that there is significant demand for BenQ's range of affordable, high quality products."
Promoting the home cinema experience
Executives at BenQ expressed confidence that the partnership will contribute to the growth of the domestic market for digital projectors in the home cinema market. Jacky's stocks products on a consignment basis and so will be able to display a wide variety of projector models at its showrooms across the UAE, bringing the products to a new wave of potential customers.
"By making projectors more widely available to consumers in the UAE - through our new relationship with Jacky's Electronics and a host of pricing and marketing promotions - we expect that they will soon be a feature in the homes of many people who enjoy watching movies on a big screen," commented Zakaraya Al Ashek, account manager, BenQ Middle East.
BenQ projectors are already proving popular with home users who are put off by the comparatively high price of plasma displays and wide-screen televisions, or the inferior picture quality of projection television.
"Projector sales represent a significant proportion of BenQ's overall revenue for the Middle East and by entering this deal with Jacky's Electronics we have been able to further improve our contact with consumers," said Al Ashek.
