Guests to the stand have been impressed with the significant design and styling enhancements that have been made to the interior and exterior to include a look that is similar to the flagship Range Rover model.

With luxurious design elements, engineered sophistication and dynamic styling, the new Freelander is geared to attract a new generation of customers and increase Land Rover's world-wide sales.

Expected to arrive in the Middle East in early 2004, the 4x4 vehicle offers the traditional benefits of a premium 4x4, but with the agility, comfort and practicality of a premium saloon car.

Available in two body styles: a three-door version, featuring a detachable hardback or fold-up softback, and a five-door. The vehicle will be available in the 2.5 litre petrol V6. There will also be a limited edition sport model available in the Middle East.

Freelander remains the king of off-roading among compact 4x4s. Its full-time four-wheel drive and a host of high-tech electronic systems, such as Hill Descent Control and Electronic Traction Control, allow the Freelander to wade through water, climb and descend slippery slopes, and give superb driver control when the going gets tough.
