BMW's all-new 5 Series makes a dynamic debut in Bahrain

Held at the Gulf Hotel's, Gulf International Convention & Exhibition Center in Manama, hundreds of guests were captivated by Karim Habib, the Interior Designer of the new 5 Series, who described his inspiration, design and creation of the car through an innovative hologram presentation to highlight the design, safety and technology aspects of the car.

Commenting on the launch event, Warren Hudson, General Manager of Euro Motors, said: "The design inspiration that goes into every BMW car is highly complex and full of suspense, emotion, knowledge and innovation, and it was important for us to launch the new 5 Series in a memorable way that would combine the emotional and rational aspects of this unique car.

"Our guests were spell-bound and amazed with the way the hologram technology saw Karim Habib being morphed from one character to another as different aspects of the car were presented," added Hudson.

The new BMW 5 Series has been designed taking into consideration the requirements of both families who want more space and safety, as well as young executives who want more style and performance. It combines the dynamism and sporting flair of the 3 Series with the supremacy and presence of the 7 Series.

The BMW 5 Series will be initially available in the 530i model and followed later in the 520i, 525i and 545i models. Powered by a six-cylinder power unit, the 530i with a 3.0 litre engine produces 231 horsepower, and with a new six-speed automatic transmission, acceleration is exhilarating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
