Dubai unveils new fog monitors to warn motorists

The Dubai municipality has installed 14 new fog monitoring stations in the emirate to warn motorists and prevent fog-related accident, The National has reported. The first-of-its-kind automated monitors in the country, including five on various coasts, will improve visibility information on land and sea in the emirate. "We have a number of these stations distributed in the city of Dubai including Hatta. These stations give a warning when we have fog in the city especially in the main roads and highways," said Hussein Nasser Lootah, director general of the municipality.
