Country Pavilions galore at GITEX 2003

Organisers Dubai World Trade Centre announced that the Middle East's most significant IT event which is now in its 23rd edition will feature as many as 18 country pavilions underlining the fact that Dubai is where IT all happens.
He noted that GITEX is widely regarded as the benchmark event in the Middle East for showcasing the latest developments in the world of Information Technology and takes place at the DWTC from October 19th to 23rd.
Telecommunications, Computing, Communications Systems & Applications, Networking and Internet Technologies are all fields that are comprehensively featured. GITEX is the only notable event aimed specifically at industry professionals in the Gulf region.
Country pavilions this year take up a massive portion of exhibition space between them covering over 4,264 square metres.
Around 660 exhibitors from 37 countries attended the 2002 show, representing 1,520 companies, filling the sprawling complex to capacity.
While the main exhibition is focused largely on trade professionals, consumers looking to purchase computer equipment and electronic gadgetry can do so at the GITEX Computer Shopper, that takes place at Airport Expo Dubai between 18th and 24th of October 2003. GITEX Computer Shopper, the retail component of GITEX, targets those seeking to purchase equipment for their personal use.
