Discover Oman is a major marketing opportunity for Omani Tourism companies. The important goals of the exhibition are to familiarize the visitors with various destinations and facilities available along with adventure opportunities existing in various regions of Oman. The exhibiting company's will promote various facilities and offers available for domestic tourists and collect feedback along with confirmations.
The Directorate General of Tourism, Ministry of Commerce & Industry will display electronic and short video tapes on Oman and its Tourism & Adventure opportunities. The Festival Department of Dhofar Municipality will highlight the features of Khareef Festival and what the visitors to Salalah can expect. Participating Hotels such as Al Bustan, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, Nizwa Hotel, Sawadi Resort, Safeer Hotel, Asas Oman, Holida Villa Hotel will all promote boarding, restaurants, entertainment and tourism spots surrounding the hotels. Tourism companies such as Al Hashar and Airlines such as Oman Air will showcase their contribution towards making travel and airline arrangements.
The exhibition will also display crystal souvenirs such as Forts, Khanjar, and objects of Omani significance. Visitors enthusiastic about learning more about deep sea diving, dolphin watching, sea cruises and sand bashing can gain first hand information of services and prices.
Discover Oman is a 9 day exhibition starting 25th September to 3 October 2003. The exhibition is open from 10AM to 1PM and 5PM to 10PM with a special ladies morning and family afternoon on Monday the 29th September. Discover Oman is supported by Directorate General of Tourism, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and organized by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE). The Platinum Sponsor for the exhibition is JEEP and the Platinum Sponsor with registration desk is Oman LNG.
Oman's first Adventure & Tourism Exhibition now in progress
Discover Oman - Oman's first Adventure & Tourism Exhibition was inaugurated by HE Mohsin Bin Khamis Al Balushi, Under Secretary for Tourism, Ministry of Commerce and Industry on the 25th of September 2003, at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in the presence of senior government officials, diplomats and corporate representatives.
