Reflecting the importance of the US market to Caracal's growth plans, this week the company is exhibiting its products for the first time at SHOT Show, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the world's largest trade show for shooting sports industry, hunting and law enforcement professionals.
Approximately 60,000 industry professionals attend the show, including buyers, distributors, government officials and media.
The US is the world's largest civilian gun market. Initially, Caracal will make two modern, semi-automatic pistol models available in the US, the Caracal "F" and "C." The company expects to make additional products available in the US before the end of 2012.
"Caracal's entry into the US market represents a significant step in the Tawazun's growth," said H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, Chief Executive Officer of Tawazun.
"This is also testimony to the UAE's commitment to expand its manufacturing base."
Mr. Salem Al Matroushi, Caracal Chief Executive Officer added, "through our US subsidiary, Caracal will be much better positioned to meet demand for our products, and provide enhanced customer support."
Representatives from the UAE Embassy Trade & Commercial Office in Washington, DC supported the Caracal team at SHOT Show, assisting the company with it's US market entry.
