Hadaiya.com offers up to 33 per cent savings on books
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, September 30 - 2003 at 15:18
- PRESS RELEASE
Book lovers in the Middle East can now enjoy any of 1 million titles at up to 33 per cent less than the global leader in online sales - thanks to a price pledge from Hadaiya.com.
Thanks to competitive shipping rates from Hadaiya.com's key delivery alliance, DHL, the site's managing director Bharat Jashanmal claims the cost to the consumer of books is reduced. These consumer categories make up the vast majority of online purchases around the world.
Jashanmal said: "Hadaiya.com's customers will benefit from DHL's simplified and competitive delivery charges: we have made an exclusive arrangement for the 17 countries that fall under the American Express Middle East and North Africa banner which applies to all shipments, whether they originate from the USA, UK or India."
Shipments will be priced according to the company's 'all-inclusive, door-to-door pricing, with no minimum charge' policy. In addition, the status of the delivery can be tracked online through Hadaiya.com and insured through DHL's in-house guarantees.
"In the niche market of online book sales, the combined total of book and delivery is up to 33 per cent lower than the most successful online book sites in the world," explained Jashanmal.
Trevor Stokes, president and CEO of American Express Middle East and North Africa, points out that this commitment on price and service is par for the course for American Express Cardmembers.
"The retail market is so competitive that we have to deliver on product, service and price - and with the additional bonus that Hadaiya.com is exclusively for our Cardmembers, we will meet all three requirements."
In addition, Hadaiya.com's Bookworm section features exclusive interviews with authors such as Joanna Trollope, PD James and even British politician Tony Benn.
The pioneering venture is described by the launch team as a pioneering retail site that ensures ease of purchase and delivery of an evolving collection of exclusive, designer-touched, novelty "must-have" collectable items.
