Ericsson Middle East sales grow 12%

Swedish provider of telecoms and data communication systems, Ericsson has said its sales in the Middle East in 2011 have jumped 12% year-on-year. "Saudi Arabia developed especially favourably in the fourth quarter although the region was still negatively impacted by political unrest in many countries with operators continuing to be cautious with infrastructure investments," said Anders Lindblad, head of Ericsson Region Middle East. Services also developed favourably since operators are looking into opportunities to increase efficiencies, he added.
