Parents face challenge finding places for children at UAE Indian schools
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, January 28 - 2012 at 13:43
Indian families in the UAE may be forced to consider returning to India because there are no places for their children this year at Indian schools in Abu Dhabi, The National has reported. About 6 of the capital's 17 Indian schools began taking applications this week for places for the 2012-2013 academic year, which begins in April. However, most applications will be turned down. "Every day we get registration applications but we are not accepting any because we are not allowed to take in more children," the principal of a villa school in the capital said, calling it a "disaster year for parents."
