Mr. John Blanthorne, Head of Corporate and Institutional Bank, HSBC, officially launches the new handbook.
Primarily aimed at treasurers and finance managers in the region, this is the first handbook of its kind to be launched in the Middle East.

The HSBC handbook is designed to be a definitive and up-to-date single reference source on cash management and the banking environment in Europe and the Middle East. It includes detailed country profiles developed by a specialised country profile company, WWCP, in the UK. The handbook also includes contributions from Deloitte & Touche, Fitch ratings and Capital Intelligence, and coverage on the most topical issues that will shape treasury and cash management decisions in the Middle East and Europe over the next few years. Similar HSBC Handbooks have previously been launched in Asia Pacific and are now widely recognised as the most authoritative sources on cash management.

William Nisser of Gulf Agency Company, who attended the official launch, said, "This is the only book I have seen that talks about specific issues related to regional cash and treasury management trends in the Middle East. It is very useful source of information for us to learn about treasury management issues and trends across the region."

Ajay Bhandoola, Head of Payments and Cash Management, said "With a presence over 110 years in the Middle East, HSBC has developed extensive local expertise, and therefore is very well placed to develop such a guide. I am confident that this handbook will add value to companies operating in Europe and the Middle East."
