HP offers visitors to GITEX Dubai 2003 a 'hands on opportunity' to see its full range of innovative mobile solutions in action

These range from iPAQs, through an unbeatable lineup of notebooks to the newest Tablet PC, the TC1100, which will be making its first appearance in the Middle East at the Show. The company will also be focusing strongly on mobile solutions for small to medium businesses (SMBs) at GITEX.

One of the main features at the stand (D3-1), situated in Hall 3 will be the fully integrated ProCurve wireless and wired network which will demonstrate several key products to visitors. The ProCurve networking area will portray mobility as a network that acts immediately, has appropriate access from wherever one chooses to work, and communicates effectively anywhere, anytime. The Mobility Wireless Solutions zone on the stand will allow visitors to experience mobility.

Notebooks, Handhelds, Tablet PCs
The introduction of the Tablet PC has been a huge success for hp in the region as the company quickly established overwhelming market leadership and GITEX will provide an opportunity to view for the first time in the Middle East the new hp Compaq Tablet pc TC 1100.

The full range of business notebooks will be on display - these include all-in-one notebook PCs, such as the hp Compaq nx9000 and nx9010, delivering all of the features necessary for mobile productivity in a convenient all-in-one design, through mobile workstations including the hp Compaq n800w, which offers true workstation performance.

Among other popular products will be the hp Compaq business notebook nc4000. Productivity is enhanced through this feature-rich ultraportable that combines the power of Intel's new Pentium-M mobile processors with ATI Mobility Radeon graphics controller. It also features a wide choice of integrated wireless and wired communication options, and support for an optional travel battery in a highly mobile form factor.

Another product which is sure to attract major interest is the HP Compaq Business Notebook nx7000 which meets business challenges through the combination of state of the art 15.4-inch widescreen technology, Intel Centrino mobile technology and the freedom of mobility - all at an affordable price.

Visitors looking to find out the latest features in consumer notebook technology will be excited at the prospect of one of HP's strongest ever lineup of products. Among the highlight attractions will be the Compaq Presario 2572 EA which offers 'maximum power and mobile innovation'. Key features include a 15" SXGA+ wide viewing angle TFT display, a powerful Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz processor and a combination dvd+r/rw and cd-writer drive.

Strength in depth is clearly evident throughout the HP consumer notebook range. Such products as the HP Pavilion zt 3010 and the HP Pavilion zd 7050 'help people to broaden their experience of the digital world,' according to HP. These sleek, powerful products come bundled with unique software packages such as Image Zone which enable users to experience to the full the latest developments in online, digital entertainment.

On the handheld PC side the star will be hp's wireless iPAQ pocket pc 5500 with thermal biometric fingerprint authentication technology and both 802.11b WLAN network access and Bluetooth. The breadth of HP's solutions in the handheld PC space will be clearly evident through the full range of products on display from the hp IPAQ pocket PC h1930 through to the hp IPAQ pocket PC h2210 which also provides integrated Bluetooth technology and Intel 400 Mhz processor with Xscale technology and 64MB SDRAM.

HP will also be showcasing its strategic partnership in the emerging IP telephony market aimed at delivering customer-focused, converged communications solutions. The project entails best-in-class enterprise switching products and iPAQs from HP with leading edge IP telephony products from Mitel. This design will provide end-to-end data and telephony solutions over a single, simple infrastructure. This is a must see attraction as HP is a worldwide leader in LAN connectivity with HP's ProCurve switched LAN solutions and Mitel Networks is an industry leader in providing broadband IP telephony solutions utilising their Data Integrated Voice architecture.

HPs infrastructure will support all the products on the stand, be they wired or wireless.
