This 292-room luxury five-star Grand Boutique Hotel is set upon a harbour at the edge of the Arabian Gulf skirted by a boardwalk that connects guests and visitors to Jumeirah International's world-renowned hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities, including Burj Al Arab, The Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Wild Wadi Water Park.

Mina A' Salam's General Manager John Pelling, who has overseen the opening of the hotel and the unique hospitality proposition, said: 'Everything about Mina A' Salam is innovative. We have for the first time brought together two apparently opposing concepts: the intimacy, privacy and serenity embodied in the finest boutique hotels and the elegance, energy, variety and scale one finds in the world's grand hotels. The Mina A' Salam experience is unified by the attentive personalised service travellers find in the world's pre-eminent boutique and grand hotels.'

Mina A' Salam's generously spacious rooms and suites, each featuring a private balcony or terrace overlooking the harbour and crystal waters of the Gulf, create an ambience of comfort, ease and pleasure for every guest. This luxurious ambience is further enhanced by fine linen, Arabian-motif fabrics, exquisitely detailed traditional lighting fixtures, dark wood finishes and richly appointed bathrooms featuring deep baths and a large walk-in drench shower. The hotel's two palatial Presidential Suites cover 270 square metres and feature secluded terraces overlooking the Gulf. Each suite is lavishly appointed with artwork and ornaments in Mina A' Salam's signature Arabian Gulf style.

Mina A' Salam's restaurants reflect the hotel's atmospheric cosmopolitan elegance, each with alfresco dining, offering gastronomic pleasures from the Arabian Gulf Region and the Pacific Rim. Zheng He's is a Chinese restaurant with a radical twist, offering modern, progressive cuisine, a unique blend of western and classical Chinese flavours, while Al Muna Restaurant offers international cuisine in a richly traditional Arabian ambience overlooking the waters of the harbour. The Wharf ocean dining restaurant, also overlooking the harbour, serves fine seafood in an evocative brick and timber waterfront setting with the adjacent seafaring Nakhuda Bar offering shellfish and seafood tapas with a wide selection of Mediterranean and New World wines. At the Bahri Bar guests and visitors can find refreshment in a relaxing nautical ambience while gazing out upon the sea. Shimmers, set upon the white sands, offers beachgoers a refuge from the sun and casual luncheon.

Mina A' Salam also features a 665 square metre conference complex composed of Majlis Al Salam, with banquet style seating for 300 and theatre style seating for 515 and Majlis Al Mina, with banquet style seating for 100 and theatre style seating for 165.

Mina A' Salam is the gateway to Madinat Jumeirah, The Arabian Resort - Dubai, scheduled to open in September 2004. When completed Madinat Jumeirah will feature two grand boutique hotels with a combined total of 592 rooms and suites, 28 courtyard villa clusters, a vibrant Arabian Souk, a luxurious Six Senses Spa and the region's most innovative conference, incentives and banqueting facilities, all interlinked by traditional water taxis taking guests through lush landscaping along 3.5 kilometres of meandering waterways to every corner of this vast, spectacular Arabian seaside resort town.
