Government of Andhra Pradesh to participate at GITEX 2003

The Dubai World Trade Centre announced that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has confirmed its participation at GITEX 2003 underlining the event's burgeoning status as the leading IT show that features all facets of the Information Technology industry from around the world.
"We also hope that our participation at this year's GITEX Dubai, will create greater awareness about Hyderabad's standing in the ICT world and attract more exhibitors to participate in GITEX Hyderabad that is scheduled to take place at the HITEX International Exhibition Centre from January 12th to 14th, 2004," Mr. Naidu stressed.
Last year's edition of GITEX Hyderabad was a categorical success attracting as many as 70 exhibitors including leading Indian ICT Companies as well as international exhibitors in the IT and communications sector confirming Hyderabad's position at the forefront of India's IT boom.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is confident that GITEX Hyderabad organised by the DWTC will showcase the potential of the State as the premier centre in India for Business Process Outsourcing and e-Governance solutions.
Last year, approximately 4,500 business and professional international visitors attended the exhibition.
GITEX is DWTC's most successful exhibition brand. Apart from Hyderabad, GITEX events are also held in Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo and Beirut. GITEX Hyderabad was launched in 2002 to serve the huge Indian market and has over the last couple of years become an excellent business platform for companies to display latest technologies and launch new products and services.
DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad expressed his confidence in the Hyderabad edition of GITEX and stated that GITEX Hyderabad 2004 would progressively increase in size and scale and provide an effective B2B stage for the IT&C industry confirming Hyderabad's status as the land of e-opportunities.
GITEX Hyderabad is an excellent platform for companies specializing in IT products and an ideal forum for developing business relationships with key decision-makers, senior officials and IT professionals from both the public and private sector.
Visitors to GITEX Hyderabad include key decision makers seeking new business partnerships, IT professionals interested in new technologies and senior managers looking for solutions, which could improve business efficiencies and reduce cost of operations.
The first edition attracted over 2,500 visitors and GITEX Hyderabad 2003 attracted 4,500 trade visitors and media (approximate) recording a 75% jump. The 2003 edition of GITEX Hyderabad registered a growth of 56% in the number of exhibitors participating at the event and an increase in floor space of 57%.
