Eurostar to throw the spotlight on latest range of high definition satellite receivers at CABSAT 2012

Eurostar Group, a well diversified conglomerate with core interests in Digital Satellite Receiving Systems, Consumer Electronics (CE) and other businesses, is set to throw the spotlight on the MPEG4-DVBS2, a new range of high definition (HD) satellite receivers that allow viewers in the Gulf region to enjoy a better HD viewing experience, during this year's edition of CABSAT 2012, the Middle East's largest digital media and satellite expo, which will run from February 28 to March 1, 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
The Eurostar booth will also highlight the products and services of PACE, a world leader in technologies, products and services for the broadcast and broadband industries and the largest set top box manufacturer for operators in the world. The company will also be showcasing Red Bee Media's new 'RedDiscover' product, a portfolio of discovery solutions built around the needs of platforms and content owners. The solutions have been customized according to the dynamics of TV and movie content. The Eurostar Group will also be featuring products of SmarDTV, which is part of the Kudelski group of companies, the international leader for conditional access modules enabling the reception of pay television that designs and manufactures highly secure, interchangeable modules and associated enabling technologies. The company offers users key access to scrambled television services on all screens-- televisions, PCs, mobile phones and portable devices.

According to Eurostar, the High Definition MPEG4-DVBS2 range has the scanning capability of storing over 3,500 pre-programmable channels and an auto-satellite program function with scanning option. These units also have an NTSC, PAL and SECAM output function, a 256 color graphics user interface, an auto, manual and advanced programming search function and key parental controls for channel locking. This high definition range also allows users to schedule recording of programs on any external hard drive or USB playback device and supports media formats like mpg, mpeg, dat, avi, mov, iso, mp3 and mp4.
This year's edition of CABSAT will showcase the latest products and services from the entire spectrum of the digital media sector from content creation to management to delivery. The event will serve as the perfect platform to network with the industry and explore opportunities that are available in the region.
