One of Bahrain's biggest mixed-use residential urban developments, Diyar Al Muharraq continues to live up to its strong eco friendly standing, taking on recently the task of organizing a clean up initiative of the Northern coast extending up to its own location.
The clean up, covered the long expanse of waterfront between Amwaj Islands and Diyar Al Muharraq. This was one of the many ways that the company has been taking forward its focused and dynamic environmental crusade. Partnering Diyar Al Muharraq in the clean up campaign were Muharraq Municipality, Gulf City Clean Company, Good Word Society and a number of high school students from schools within the programme of H.H Sh. Isa Bin Ali Al-Khalifa for Volunteer work.
Drawing great enthusiasm and support from volunteers, the successful day concluded with gifts and prizes awarded to winners of the lucky draw.
Diyar Al Muharraq has a rich environmental legacy of over a decade, and continues to keep its approach fresh and focused.
Talking about the campaign and the company's efforts to reduce the human footprint on the environment, Mr. Aaref Hejres CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq said, "Diyar Al Muharraq has been a pioneer in the region in considering and caring for the planet. The campaign has served to set new goals in the management of waste and natural resources to substantially reduce negative human impact on ecology, further setting an example for environmentally responsible behavior among the public and corporate organizations. With a strong commitment to our ecological concerns, Diyar Al Muharraq has been a keen advocate of all green and eco friendly activities, encouraging our own employees as well as others to take part in environmentally focused volunteer projects.
