The website, which can be accessed at the URL prompt of www.pse-dubai.com, features a day-by-day schedule of events and activities to take place over the seven day duration of the event. Created in a bright and colourful format, the website also contains detailed information of the various thematic gaming zones and performances that form part of the event, as also details of the over 40 new gaming titles slated to be previewed.

Mr Yasuhide Yokota, Managing Director, Sony Gulf FZE said that the launch of a dedicated web resource on the mega event was a reiteration of Sony's commitment to make the Middle East PlayStation Experience the best and largest consumer gaming initiative in the region.

"There has been unprecedented excitement generated by the Middle East PlayStation Experience and we anticipate 50,000 visitors to the event, which has surpassed all initial projections".

"The launch of the website is aimed at increasing awareness about the event among audiences and has been designed in an easy-to-navigate manner. Most importantly, the
website is bilingual which helps us address the needs of a larger segment of the rapidly growing gaming market," he added

Mr. Yokota further said "PlayStation has enjoyed massive growth since its launch and, as a result, is reaching a wider, more mainstream audience. In order to broaden the appeal of PlayStation, the website has been designed in a very simple yet original style - incorporating the new tag line "Fun, anyone?" This new brand positioning focuses on the sociability and simplicity of PlayStation and that gaming can open accessible activity to be enjoyed by everyone".

Says Mr Abdullah T. Qassem, General Manager Exhibitions, Leasing and Property, Dubai World Trade Centre, the organizers of GITEX Computer Shopper, "The Middle East PlayStation Experience is a unique concept that will add value to the GITEX Computer Shopper, which traditionally has been a retail forum."

"The GITEX Shopper website - www.shopper.gitex.com - now has a direct link to the Middle East PlayStation Experience website which makes it possible for visitors to the show to gain a better understanding of what's on offer at the event and plan their schedules accordingly. This will help us to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of events." he added.
