With the signing of the joint venture, Brewmaster Café will commence with the opening of Barista Espresso coffee shops in the UAE and Kuwait. Brewmaster Café has already identified key locations in Dubai, and is looking at strategic locations in Kuwait. Brewmaster Café plans to open six Barista Espresso outlets in the UAE by the end of 2003 and will open stores in Kuwait by early 2004.

Speaking of Barista Espresso in the UAE, Mr. Ahmed Al Ghurair, Partner for Brewmaster Café, said: "The UAE offers a wealth of opportunity for Barista Espresso. The coffee consumer in the region is more discerning, and looking for variety. With the expertise of our Venetian roastmasters, we know consumers will appreciate the superior quality coffee we offer."

Brewmaster Café has opened its first outlets at Dubai's Lamcy Plaza and BurJuman, with another location at Al Ghurair City already under development. The outlets at Lamcy Plaza and BurJuman will operate as kiosks - for coffee drinkers on the go. Barista Espresso at Al Ghurair City will function as a full service espresso bar, with snacks available, as well games and magazines for entertainment.
