Empost to sponsor Sharjah Ramadan Festival for third year in a row
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, October 12 - 2003 at 14:16
- PRESS RELEASE
Empost, United Arab Emirates' National Courier Company, has announced its Co-sponsorship of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival for the third year running.
"When we were approached to sponsor the Sharjah Ramadan Festival for the third year in a row, we accepted gladly as the sponsorship allows us to give back to the community that we live in," he pointed out.
This will be the 14th Sharjah Ramadan Festival and it will be held from October 22 until November 28.
"We do not consider Empost to be a sponsor, but more as a friend and close partner," said Mohammed Ahmed Amin, General Coordinator of Sharjah Ramadan Festival.
"We are extremely pleased that a national organisation such as Empost will again be a part of Sharjah's Ramadan activities. Their contribution in the past two Festivals has been invaluable. As could be expected from any professionally-led but human-oriented organisation, Empost unhesitatingly came forward to serve the community when needed," Amin added.
Efficient Service
Empost has been assigned the task of assisting in and ensuring that the Daily Raffle Draws are held efficiently and on time. It has been given the status of 'Official Courier' and is a co-sponsor.
Empost will be in charge of the daily collection of the over 50 boxes that will be placed all over the city at convenient locations for the participating public to deposit their raffle tickets.
"We are a witness to the efficiency of Empost, which has assigned staff and spent time, effort and funds to design an effective raffle box placement and pick-up service, which is an integral part and critical to the success of Sharjah Ramadan Festival activities.
Box Collection"Empost has so effectively and seamlessly executed the service that we have come to expect all of the over 50 boxes from various parts of the city, to reach the draw location within 30 minutes of the closing," the General Coordinator said.
This becomes all the more complicated for Empost as the draw location shifts every day, Amin pointed out.
Locations where Sharjah Ramadan Festival activities will take place are as wide apart as the Ramadan Village at the Lagoon Corniche, South Asian Village next to Expo Centre, a Traditional Village near King Faisal Mosque and Sports activities in various locations.
