'With GITEX this year being bigger, brighter and far greater in scale than ever before it is only fitting that visitors and exhibitors can enjoy the new facilities and ease of access offered by the new concourse,' said DWTC Director General Mubarak bin Fahad. 'GITEX has for the first time spread through the entire DWTC Complex taking up all eight exhibition halls and the new Sheikh Rashid Hall. The concourse allows easy access and interconnectivity throughout the sprawling complex and the facilities are a big value-addition to the show,' added Mr bin Fahad.

The concourse will house a range of amenities tailored to meet every need, with restaurants, banks, fast food outlets, coffee shops, stationery outlets, post and courier services, car hire and travel agents situated at various points around the complex.

In addition the concourse links two on-site hotels the Novotel World Trade Centre and the Ibis World Trade Centre to the exhibition venue which allows exhibitors and visitors trouble-free access without having to step out of the complex.

GITEX is one of DWTC's most successful exhibition brands that is now held across five cities including Dubai, Beirut, Cairo, Hyderabad and Riyadh. Over the years it has evolved into the perfect business and technological platform for the IT industry making it an international brand renowned for stimulating regional and international trade.

While the main exhibition is focused largely on trade professionals, consumers looking to purchase computer equipment and electronic gadgetry can do so at the GITEX Computer Shopper, that takes place at Airport Expo Dubai between 18th and 24th of October 2003. GITEX Computer Shopper, the retail component of GITEX, targets those seeking to purchase equipment for their personal use.
