Parsons sponsors youth soccer team in Muscat

Parsons sponsored a soccer team in the Muscat Community Football League during the 2011/12 season. The league, made possible only by the sponsorship of local businesses, brings youth together to play football in a fun yet competitive environment. It is open to children between the ages of 6 and 15 and runs from October through March each year.

Parsons' U12 team finished second overall in the league and also in the end-of-season tournament. The 7-aside team was multinational with children from Oman, Holland, Scotland, Ireland, England, Argentina, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Egypt. The team was coached by David Mitchell, Parsons Operations Manager in Oman.

"The team played really well and finished second in both the league and the end-of-season tournament. The children enjoyed themselves at training and during the matches, and it was a great experience for everyone," said Mitchell.

"We enjoy supporting the local communities where we operate, and we always look for ways to give back," added Guy Mehula, Parsons MENA+ President.
