The event will be attended by 55 chief executives from Standard Chartered Bank's international network as well as Bank Chairman, Bryan Sanderson, Group CEO Mervyn Davies and executive directors.

"After an enormously successful visit to the Emirates for the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the IMF and World Bank, senior figures from the bank's UK headquarters are returning to Dubai to discuss the bank's upcoming strategies," said UAE Chief Executive, Ray Ferguson.

The three-day high level CEOs' conference will be held at Dubai's Royal Mirage hotel when Sanderson will lead attendees through a strategic process on vision and mission implementation.

"The UAE is a major important market for Standard Chartered and the decision to host the conference in Dubai underlines the emphasis we place on the Emirates. The Bank has been present in the UAE since 1958 and has grown to become one of leading international banks in the country." said Ferguson.

"This is the first time in the Bank's 45 year history in the Emirates that the UAE has been asked to host this prestigious internal event, which this year has even more importance since it coincides with the Bank's 150th year celebrations," concluded the CEO.
