Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), the benchmark Islamic bank and one of the leading Islamic banks in the world has again made another proactive step to reach out to Qatari students by taking part for the third time running in the Professional Day organized by Carnegie Mellon University at its premises last Wednesday.
Dr. Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Kuwari, General Manager, Human Capital, Qatar Islamic Bank commented: "We have been extremely overwhelmed by the interest displayed by Qatari students in an internship or a career in the Islamic finance industry with QIB."
"Our recruitment and internship programmes bring out the hidden talent in Qatari graduates and are in line with our long term plans to train, recruit, and develop them to become leading professionals in the banking and Islamic financial industry." Dr. Ahmed added
QIB invests in its Qatari employees and builds their leadership and management competence in various ways. The Qatari Fast Tracker programme (Noukhba) aims to develop high performing Qataris through structured programs in order to assume leadership roles in a two-year time.
QIB's Leadership Programme (Kiada) is designed to prepare the next-generation of QIB's Qatari leaders through a unique module revolving around core Islamic values and principles. The Branch Managers Programme (Rouwad) aims to build high-calibre Qatari branch managers in collaboration with world-class training consultants.
"We are cognizant of the significance of an educated and empowered youth, and the crucial role they will have to play in the future development of Qatar, hence we are placing the development of future leaders high on our agenda. The launch of these programmes is a testimony to our commitment to help Qatari young talents to grow and prosper," said Dr. Ahmed Al Kuwari.
The Professional Day is a career and networking fair that provides a unique opportunity for students to meet face-to-face with employers and explore job opportunities. The event brings together private and public companies looking to hire bright and talented students.
