British Airways sponsors British Environment Technology Conference in Dubai

British Airways will be flying in world renowned ecologist, botanist, author and TV broadcaster, Professor David Bellamy to address the British Environment Technology Conference in Dubai on February 5th, 2002.
Judith Limburn, British Airways Country Commercial Manager for the UAE, Oman and Yemen, said: "British Airways always welcomes the opportunity to support local environmental initiatives and we are delighted to be able to bring Professor Bellamy to the conference to share his knowledge and expertise with the people of Dubai. Through such initiatives we hope Gulf-based organisations will be spurred to participate in the British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Awards."
Professor David Bellamy is the chairperson of the British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Awards, which are the most prestigious awards for sustainable tourism. Open to all organisations in the tourism industry worldwide, it aims to recognise projects which have made a positive contribution toward their local natural and cultural environment and improving the impact of tourism on the environment.
