Next generation healthcare satisfaction measurement solution to debut in Middle East at GITEX 2003

  • United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, October 15 - 2003 at 13:12
  • PRESS RELEASE

The Middle East will host the debut of the next generation customer/patient satisfaction solution, SurveyNow!, developed specifically for the healthcare sector at GITEX 2003, being held on Dubai, UAE, from 19-23 October 2003, and will be showcased at the Palm Middle East stand in Hall 3, stand K3-1.

SurveyNow! is a customer satisfaction feedback tool that empowers medical staff at hospitals and healthcare centres to get instant real-time feedback from patients. SurveyNow! was developed for the Netcare group, the largest private hospital and health care organisation in South Africa and is being showcased in the Middle East for the first time by NurSystems.

"SurveyNow! is an innovative tool that enables healthcare facilities to benefit from immediate access and analysis of customer feedback and has helped hospitals to react within hours of deployment to improve areas of satisfaction based on instant customer feedback via PDA devises such as Palm, and internet devices," said Alex de Jager, CEO and founder of NurSystems (PTY) LTD. "SurveyNow! has already been deployed across all 45 hospitals of Netcare Hospital Group in South Africa, as well as receiving international acceptance in the United States at Johnson City Medical Centre and the North Side Hospital in Tennessee, and helping them eliminate up to three months of manual data gathering, input and analysis with SurveyNow!'s instant downloads and measurable information."
SurveyNow! is a scalable solution that supports multiple languages and offers an early warning facility, via a sophisticated "drill down" web based MIS system allowing hospital staff to analyse the information, real time. The use of Palm devices was key to facilitating the portability of the solution across every department within the hospital.

SurveyNow! can be tailored to provide immediate feedback on any area within the hospital including catering, reception, nursing staff politeness or responsiveness, and house keeping to name a few. SurveyNow! can also be rolled out to all levels of the hospital at the ward, hospital, regional or national level and provide the central administration with a single resource from which to improve customer satisfaction across all its facilities.

"SurveyNow! can be deployed across any network infrastructure and supports Linux, Unix or Windows and integrates with Sybase ASA, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle i9 data base applications," said de Jager. "NurSystems is planning to work with Middle East healthcare organisations to develop an Arabic-supported version of SurveyNow!. We have already met with several large medical centres and are looking forward to the first such installation in the Middle East."

The open architecture and easy of use coupled with the ability of rapid deployment has captured the attention for other industries, such as tourism and hospitality through to governments focused on staff measurement to customer satisfaction. "The adaptability of the solution is a first in real time customer response monitoring", said de Jager.
