DSF 2004 Organising Committee meeting held to discuss preparations for the event

The Dubai Shopping Festival 2004 Organising Committee had their second meeting today at the Dubai Police Club to discuss the developments in the organization of the events for the upcoming DSF 2004, to be held from January 15 to February 15, 2004.

Saeed Mohammed Al Nabouda, CEO, DSF, headed the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Ibrahim Saleh, COO, DSF, Ibrahim Abdul Rahim, Director, Global Village, other members of the Organising Committee and employees from the DSF office.

Al Nabouda initiated the discussion and presented the Organizing Committee with the proposed creative routes for the advertising campaign for DSF 2004. The new campaign has been created with the aim to refresh the image of DSF and reflect it in a new way keeping in mind the theme - One World, One Family, One Festival.

Al Nabouda urged the Organising Committee and other attendees to work on new and refreshing activities and events for the upcoming DSF. He emphasized on exercising greater professionalism in the management of the existing events. Furthermore, Al Nabouda also stressed on the need to ensure high standards of safety in the games and other entertainment activities held during Dubai Shopping Festival 2004.

Al Nabouda encouraged all the members of the committee to work with complete focus and dedication towards finalizing the activities and events to be included in the Calendar of Events for DSF 2004.

The meeting moved on with the organizing committee members discussing the front activities and events already under progress. The teams presented promising ideas and preparations for new event concepts and activities. These innovative events will add to the already well established and eagerly anticipated activities from previous years that attract millions of visitors each year.

The meeting was attended by Major General Mohammed Hussain Ali from the Sports Committee, Colonel Eisa Aman from the Security Committee, Maj. Abdul Rahim Al Marri from the Safety Committee, Maj. Jassem Abdul Ghafour and Capt. Omar Al Shamsi from the Reception Committee, Khawla Matar from the Finance Committee, Malek Al Malek and Abdullah Al Mansuri from the Cultural Committee, Abdullah Khamis Hareb and Abdul Rahman Eisa from the Carpet Oasis Committee, Ahmed Mohammed Abdul Karim from Entertainment Committee, Zakia Karam from Decoration Committee, Matar Salbukh from the Dubai Education Zone Committee, Hamza Abbas from the Department of Economic Development, Obaid Saif Al Falasi from the Operational Committee, Dr. Salah Al-Qassim from the Health Department Committee, and Abdullatef Al Gargawi from the Dubai TV Committee.
