Yamaha Club launches across the Emirates

"The Yamaha Club is a very exciting innovation by Al Yousuf Motors for UAE consumers," said Eqbal Al Yousuf, Vice-Chairman of the Al Yousuf Group. "Modelled on the Yamaha members' club of Japan, our people have worked very hard to bring the local community an organisation that is as knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic about the Yamaha range of products as they are."

Membership is available free of charge to anyone in the UAE who owns a Yamaha product, be it wave runner, outboard engine, all terrain vehicle (ATV), motorcycle or street bike. Aiming to bring Yamaha enthusiasts together to enjoy their products, the club is committed to teaching members how to get the most out of their machines in a safe and friendly environment.

"The Middle East region is a significant market for Yamaha, with local consumers displaying a great enthusiasm for and understanding of our products," said Shigeru Ishikawa, Gulf & Middle East Marketing Manger - Motorcycle, ATV & Power Products, Yamaha Motor Co. "With Yamaha this year celebrating 40 years of partnership with the Al Yousuf Group, we feel that the establishment of a local Yamaha Club can only benefit our existing and future customers."

The Yamaha Club will hold a range of sporting events throughout the year for members and friends, including fun drives, organised races in safe and controlled conditions, fishing and camping trips as well as new product preview evenings, informal get-togethers and other social occasions.

Events will be arranged to allow members with specific interests, for example on-road racing cycles or marine pleasure craft, to get together to exchange ideas, plan special activities and - of course - to compare toys! More general social events, such as beach parties and fun rides, are also planned to allow the wider Yamaha community to meet one another, admire and enjoy their products.

"We look forward to hosting many exciting activities including fishing trips and pleasure cruises for marine enthusiasts, as well as races, fun drives and camping trips for desert and on-road devotees," said Wesaam Alwi, Manager of the Yamaha Club. "In the future, we hope to offer members an on-road rescue service, special offers on spare parts and servicing and even the chance to meet professional Yamaha riders when they visit the UAE."

The Yamaha Club Emirates is recognised by the UAE Department of Youth & Sports, the Dubai Development & Economic Department, the Emirates Motor Sports Federation and The Dubai Water Sports Federation. The Club is in the process of being formally recognised by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and FIM (Fédération Internationale de la Motocyclisme).
