Microsoft to debut Office System 2003 at GITEX

Microsoft is set to launch a wide range of its new products at GITEX 2003.
"Along with the regional launch of Microsoft Office System, simultaneously with the global launch, we have many other highlights at the show," commented Emre Berkin, Vice President, Microsoft Europe Middle East and Africa. (EMEA). "Our new products, solutions and services continue to deliver agility to our enterprise customers, as well as greater productivity and efficiency to our small-to-medium business customers and individual users."
In addition to the Arabic version of Microsoft Office System, and new product launches from Microsoft Business Solutions, the Arabic Zone POD features the latest in Arabized Microsoft products from office automation to business applications and server technologies. Microsoft customers can visit the Software Assurance POD, where Microsoft professionals will be on hand to show customers how the Software Assurance program can help them be more productive and efficient in their volume software deployment. On the platform side, the Windows Server 2003 Platform POD offers advice on how Microsoft platform allows technology managers focus on their business objectives and balance their deployment, integration and cost challenges.
Educators and academics should visit the Microsoft Education POD where the company will feature a number of educational programs and technologies, such as the Partners in Learning and IT Academy programs, designed to helps peers to communicate, inspire and be inspired.
Microsoft is also promising the software development community visiting Gitex this year new development tools that will make web-enabled applications development easier, faster and more cost effective through Microsoft's NET Framework and the Visual Studio.NET developer tools.
Microsoft has also extended its support centre to GITEX where it has allocated a point of presence for its support team to interact with customers. Additionally, the IT Showcase POD will allow visitors will have a unique insight into how Microsoft manages the process of developing and deploying its own business applications, deployment strategies, early adopter experiences and best practices.
A further highlight is the Mobility POD, which will feature a wide range of mobile computing solutions powered by the Microsoft. The devices on show will include the Tablet PC, Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone edition, Microsoft-powered Smartphones, and the Smart Display Solution
