Citrix launches new Suite of MetaFrame Access Solutions at GITEX Dubai 2003

The Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite provides a critical component to an efficient and cost-effective business continuity solution. It allows users to continue working after an unplanned disruption. Within the Suite is Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, the world's most widely deployed presentation server, designed to enable IT staffs to centrally manage virtually any custom or commercially packaged Windows® or Web application and provide access to them from any client device across any network connection. While Citrix MetaFrame Conferencing Manager is the most productive way for teams, regardless of their individual locations, to work concurrently and collaboratively on the same applications and documents and when used in conjunction with MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, provides dynamic application conferencing capabilities.

A single-sign-on solution that addresses both password security concerns and growing help desk support costs, Citrix MetaFrame Password Manager is designed to work seamlessly with other Citrix MetaFrame solutions - namely, XP Presentation Server and Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager. It provides password security and single sign-on access to Windows, Web, proprietary and host-based applications running in the MetaFrame environment.

The final additional to the MetaFrame Access Suite is Secure Access Manager which provides secure, single-point personalised access over the Internet to virtually any Enterprise resource, including client/server, legacy, and Web applications, Internet and intranet sites, streaming media, documents, network file services and XML-based Web services.

During GITEX 2003, Citrix will be showcasing its new solution suite on the IBM and Mindware stands. Citrix recently announced its strategic alliance with IBM in the Middle East to deliver server consolidation, application deployment and access solutions to enterprises regionally, while their partnership with leading IT distributor Mindware dates back 2000, with the successful installation of Citrix solutions across the Middle East and North Africa region.

GITEX Dubai 2003 is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre's (DWTC's) Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 19-23 October 2003 and will be open from 10am until 7pm. The IBM stand is located in Hall 3, stand C3 and Mindware is located in Hall 4, stand 425.
