Aqili partners with IBM to showcase enterprise wide solutions at GITEX 2003

During Gitex 2003, AIS unveiled the new version of VISION 2000®, one of the most popular ERP Solutions available in the region. The VISION 2000® Business Solutions suite of commercial application software systems are designed and developed to provide total integrated, ERP solutions for the Businesses in the Retail, Trading, Wholesale, Distribution, Logistics & Hospitality Segments.

The solutions are powered by the latest version of ORACLE RDBMS, and is designed to work under the multi-user environment with the Windows or UNIX operating systems. The applications work independently across hardware platforms, thereby protecting investment in application software. VISION 2000® has the flexibility to be adapted and upgraded according to ever-changing hardware technology.

The VISION 2000® ERP Business Solutions Suit comprises of Financials & Asset System, Logistics System, HRMS System, Retail POS System and Service Management System. All systems can be deployed independently or integrated as required.

During GITEX, AIS held demonstrations of the product capabilities, where customers would get an opportunity to evaluate the performance of the various AIS solutions. A dedicated team of Business Consultants is available to understand the requirements of individual customers as may be required.

One of the key feature of the VISION 2000® ERP Business Solutions Suit is that it supports the multi-company, multi-branch, multi-department/cost-center, multi-currency based financial analysis and projects/job based accounting, and the system can also operate in bilingual (English/Arabic) mode.

The Vision 2000® Retail System has been specifically designed and developed for Front Office Operations comprising of Retail Sales Point of Sale System functions, Cash Management and Sales/Daily Collection Information Reports with the option of Inventory Management at store level. The system is fully integrated with VISION 2000® Logistics and VISION 2000® Financials System, providing an end-to-end integrated systems solution. The prime objective of the VISION 2000® Retail System is to provide improved and effective customer service and retention with excellent operational control over stock, sales and cash collection.

The system supports distributed architecture with multi-till, multi-currency and dual language (English & Arabic) sales transactions and customer interface with GUI capabilities under the Microsoft Windows environment. The system has extended features for virtually all types of retailers including hyper-markets, super-markets, grocery stores, general & department stores, toys, fashion clothing, shoes, gift ware, pharmacies etc.

Among the other applications to be showcased during the show are QUICKSERVE® Service Management System and CHEF® Restaurant Management System.

QUICKSERVE® provides a total integrated solution for managing service center activities, with extensive transaction work flow and reporting facility. The solution comprises of Customer Service Order, EngineeringActivity, Invoice & Dispatch, Purchase Management and Stock/Inventory Management. The system can be deployed in any organization providing after sales service and managing warranty/post-warranty maintenance activities.

CHEF provides an integrated enterprise wide solution for the hospitality vertical market segments such as restaurants, coffee shops, fast food joints, cafes, clubs, etc with simple and effective transactions, work flow and reporting facilities. The system incorporates the state-of-the-art Touch Screen technology and feature a unique recipe management system which allows the user to do an accurate costing of each recipe and allows automatic calculation of costs and profit margins on each recipe.
