2nd Plant Maintenance and Reliability Conference kicks off at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa

The 2nd Plant Maintenance and Reliability Conference will kick off on 1 October at the Armani Hotel Burj Khalifa, gathering influential stakeholders in the maintenance and planning sector to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in the sector. The three-day event, being held from 1 - 3 of October, is organized by Dubai based company 'Knowledge Expansion' and showcases technologies from regional and global companies in the sector.

The event schedule is based around the main themes of Plant Maintenance, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Shutdowns, TA Outages, Industry Trends, Economics, and Failure and Testing, and offers a platform for the exchange of global best practices in the industry. The conference is expected to attract over 150 professionals across the globe to participate in three days of intensive networking, business development and training.

Prominent speakers at the event include Dr. Abdullah Sharif, Department Manager Maintenance Saudi European Petrochemicals Company (SABIC) and Executive Committee Chairman ; Mr. Mohamed K. Jame, GM Smelter Maintenance DUBAL and Executive Co-Chairman; Ismail Al Hammadi, VP Habshan & Bab GASCO and Technical Chairman; Mushabab Qahtani, Manager, Technical/Maintenance CS & E Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company and Technical Co-chairman of; Khalid Al Bohamdoh, Operations Director and maintenance of SABIC Evaluation Committee Chairman, Abdullah Al Swaliem DMD Fertilizers PIC Kuwait; Vasily Nomokonov Managing Director SIBUR Russia and many others.

Mrs. Mitzi Dhas, the Founder of Knowledge Expansion, welcomed conference delegates from around the world in her opening address. "As industrial structures get more complex, particularly in the GCC's rapidly growing cities, demand increases for technologies, expertise and solutions to maintain them and ensure continuity of service. Building landmark structures is only the first step. Once built, they must be maintained in a manner that prioritizes health, safety, sustainability, low overheads and return on investment. This conference answers a very real market need for expert forums where industry stakeholders can network, exchange ideas, generate new business and stay up to speed with global best practices," she said.

Apart from seminars and keynote addresses, the event also features breakout events to encourage conversation and networking.
