- PRESS RELEASE
Sun Microsystems Middle East & North Africa announced today that it is highlighting bundled solutions specifically created for the Middle East market at GITEX 2003, to raise awareness of its partnership with Computer Associates Middle East (CA-ME), as part of the two companies' iForce collaboration in the region.
The two companies support a joint testing policy, which enables potential customers to evaluate CA-ME's Unicenter enterprise management solutions and eTrust security solutions at the Tech Access Solutions Center, the Sun Authorized iForce Ready Center based in Dubai Internet City.
At GITEX 2003, Sun will manage a live link through to the iForce Center in CA-ME's expanded Partner Pavilion, enabling attendees to witness the power and potential of CA-ME software built upon Sun Microsystems hardware.
"We're keen to showcase how effective our combined technology can be across a wide range of industries, and particularly for organizations in the oil and gas, financial and utility sectors, which are major investors in security and enterprise management solutions," said Stavros Vougas, Channel and Marketing Manager, Sun Microsystems Middle East and North Africa.
"Security and enterprise management have emerged as key areas for interest for many organizations in the Middle East, and GITEX provides an ideal meeting place for companies that wish to understand how technology can be best deployed to serve their needs in this areas," added Vougas.
Visitors to the stand will receive a full overview of the new solution bundles as well as testing and evaluation process available through the iForce collaboration. Facilities at the solution center enable companies to build and test a working prototype solution, deploying hardware and software solutions to meet their specific business needs.
"CA-ME is using its presence at GITEX 2003 to highlight the strength of our partnerships in the region, and showcase the technical superiority of our software solutions when combined with best-in-class hardware," said Hayssam El Masri, Director of Operations, CA-ME.
"Our partnership with Sun through the iForce collaboration is already delivering value to many of the Middle East's leading enterprises, enabling them to assess the value of their proposed solutions and map the route to best practice implementation. Our joint participation in GITEX this year will raise awareness of this valuable service even higher," added El Masri.
