The new range incorporates multi functional advantages like printing, scanning and copying facilities, in one device.

The unveiling of the multi-function devices will be complemented by the launch of a range of generation home cinema projectors that deliver big screen performance at home.

"The printer segment of the IT market has witnessed huge growth in the Middle East. This is accompanied by rising expectations of users by way of enhanced performance," said Khalil El Dalu, General Manager, EPSON Middle East. "As a market leader in innovative printing technologies, EPSON has focused on developing cost-effective solutions that provide high quality print results. The DURABrite technology, incorporated in the two new printer models, guarantees an output that is sharp, water-resistant, smudge proof and fade resistant for up to 70 years. The quality of print results remains unchanged on a wide variety of media, from plain to recycled paper."

The EPSON Stylus CX5400, aimed at home users and small businesses, incorporates the very latest in high-speed printing, high-resolution scanning and stand-alone copying technologies in a small, space saving architecture. The new printer offers optimal print flexibility, allowing for border-free printing on A4 paper. This feature enables the end-user to print everything from high detail photographs to reports and presentations. The Smart Panel software automatically selects the correct print parameters and adds further flexibility to the printer's potential, by allowing the user to deploy the device to print a wide variety of output, including WebPages. The scanning feature is available as a high-end flatbed scanner, while the standalone copier allows users to photocopy documents without turning on the computer.

The Stylus CX6400, an advanced model of the CX5400, is the first multi-function device from EPSON to feature built-in digital media card slots, allowing images and documents to be scanned on the device, and be saved directly to a memory card. Users can recall and print these documents without turning on the computer. The card slots also accept digital storage media from all major camera manufacturers.

"Complementing the top-of-the-range printers, EPSON is also launching an innovative range of home projectors that have been designed to create a high quality cinema experience at home," said El Dalu. "The new projectors incorporate cutting-edge technologies that will give visitors a taste of what the future holds in the field of digital imaging, significantly consolidating EPSON's position as the global leader in this market segment."

The EPSON EMP-TW200 is a mid-range home cinema projector featuring advanced D4 LCD panels and offers a contrast ratio of 800:1, that combines with a brightness level of 1300 ANSI lumens. The image quality is further enhanced with the introduction of Colour Reality II, a colour management technology that provides five ranges of colours for different environments. The projector is equipped with a horizontal and vertical lens, shift, and vertical keystone correction, enhancing its potential for projecting an optimum image, from a wide range of installed positions. The addition of a natural image-scaling filter and a new image processor allow for the resizing of the screen without any resulting distortion of images.

The EMP-TW10 projector is a sleek, slim-line design device in the home projector range. The new projector uses a D3 LCD projection system, with a Poly-silicon TFT Active Matrix to create bright, vibrant images, in a standard 16:9 aspect ratio for wide-screen viewing. The EMP-TW10 can project a screen size of up to 300" (7.62m), making it suitable for large rooms. On the other hand, with its 1.54 x optical zoom lens that allows an 80" diagonal (2.03m) image to be projected from just 2m away, the new projector is ideal for smaller spaces as well.

The EMP-TW10 uses universal connectivity for easy hook up to existing video and audio entertainment equipment, including televisions, DVD players, video recorders and games consoles. The EMP-TW10 supports PAL, NTSC and SECAM, ensuring its usability across any type of media.
