Taiwan exhibitor in USD 1 million joint-venture with Sharjah company

Taiwan exhibitor - Risesun Electrical & Industrial Co. Ltd. - today announced at the Middle East Industrial Show, which is underway at Expo Centre Sharjah, that it has entered into a joint-venture with a Sharjah based company to assemble electrical and industrial products.
The move comes after Risesun's export to the Middle East increased over the last few years. "Of the US $20 million in export sales turnover, 60% is to the Middle East. Our growth in this market has been tremendous. The new venture will help us develop our business further increasing our re-exports from the UAE to Iran, Iraq and other Mid East markets by 20% annually," Lin added.
Taiwan Trade Centre is fielding the largest pavilion at MEIS with 37 companies, an increase of 9% on 2002 exhibitors, "70% of the exhibitors are first time exhibitors to the show. The general consensus from the Taiwanese exhibitors is that they have had quality visitors, which has prompted us to commit for a larger pavilion next year," said Pin Jiun Chen, Project Manager, Taiwan Trade Centre.
"Visitor footprints have increased compared to 2002. By end of day two visitors from 42 countries attended the show, an increase of 8%," said Lilian Segundo Fernandes, Group Project Manager, Expo Centre Sharjah organizers of the exhibition.
Meanwhile, the Buyer-Seller Meet, sponsored by the German State Baden-Wurttemberg featuring 16 companies, was held for the first time and reported huge success with several successful meetings held with UAE companies.
Middle East Industrial Show, which ends tomorrow night is the region's largest event for industrial products, machinery, technology and solutions for the manufacturing industry. The event is the largest in its three year history with 91 exhibitors from 12 countries and national pavilions from Iran and Taiwan.
