The instant messaging solution will provide advanced SMS services to a large number of SAHM corporate subscribers as well as enabling them to send bulk messages for a variety of business requirements with relative ease and efficiency.
'The introduction of bulk messaging services is another addition of our strategy to enhance the services we offer our corporate clients,' said Arvind Bhatnagar, CEO of SAHM Technologies. 'The value of enhanced communications methods is becoming increasingly important. Both public and private organisations are considering short messaging as a highly effective and crucial customer communication channel.'
SAHM's corporate customers will now have the capability to access bulk messages via the Internet. This new service will provide SAHM's clients with new ways to leverage their internal communications, marketing programmes, promotions and customer relationship management (CRM) schemes by allowing them to target highly focused and specific groups of mobile users.
According to a recent study, over 430 million SMS messages were sent in 2002. With over 2.6 million mobile subscribers in the UAE, and over 200,000 MMS enabled phones on the market, the effectiveness of SMS is becoming increasingly important.
The capabilities of MMS-based applications allow organizations to send communication messages that are more informative and effective. For example, weather reports with images, stock quotes that can be viewed as diagrams or event highlights that can be viewed as a slide show or animated text messages.
'SAHM's new SMS service centre is a clear illustration of our commitment to expand the range of services being offered to the UAE's business community. A number of leading public and private organisations have already adopted this technology and are reaping great rewards from it,' added Neeraj B. Bhai, IT Divisional Manger at SAHM Technologies.
It is anticipated that SAHM's SMS Service Center will potentially reduce customers' operational costs. By cutting down on interaction time, and optimizing resources management, businesses will be able to streamline and automate event-based services in a far more productive manner.
'We believe in the viability of this service. Our customers will have the ability to make their businesses more customer-centric by reaching their own customers quickly, presenting them with the opportunity to deliver greater customer satisfaction,' concluded Mr. Bhatnagar.
