Dynix addresses challenges facing today's libraries during a speech in the Gitex 2003 Digital Library Conference

Dynix Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Marc Carden, delivered a speech and a presentation at the Datamatix Gitex 2003 Conference.
Commenting on the Event Mr. Carden Said "Gitex Dubai is growing each year, and it was a pleasure to contribute to this year's conference. The region is undergoing big developments in library services and there are important initiatives for moving towards digital libraries. Hence, It is important for organizations in the region to adopt these solutions that meets local information and cultural needs". Mr. Caden also mentioned that it is important for senior executives from international corporations to visit the region so that they learn directly from local experiences and transfer this knowledge to there development teams. As for the partnership between Dynix and Arabian Advanced Systems, Mr. Carden commented by saying "We are also proud of our partnership with the Arabian Advanced Systems, which is the Arab's world leading library and information solution provider, a partnership that enabled us to deliver world class solutions to customers in the region".
Mr. Mohammed Husamaddin, the UAE regional Manager of Arabian Advanced Systems, said "Our partnership with Dynix, the developer of the world renowned Horizon Library Management System, is very special. We are proud of our ability to bring the expertise of such leading technology providers to the region through our business activities as well as our participation with DataMatix Gitex 2003 Seminars."
