One of J.D. Edwards' largest customers in the UAE, Tabreed - the National Central Cooling Co (PJSC), today announced that it will extend its internal management systems with the help of PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne (formerly J.D. Edwards OneWorld XE) to include a full plant management module, designed to increase efficiency across its network of commercial, residential and governmental schemes in the UAE.

Tabreed, the region's leading district cooling service provider, was one of the first national companies to implement a comprehensive suite of PeopleSoft modules, including financial, purchasing, human resources and payroll applications.

"The introduction of J.D. Edwards software in 2000 helped streamline workflow and improve the efficiency of our internal reporting structures," said Toufic Traboulsi, Administration Manager, Tabreed. "By introducing new business management software we were able to increase the overall operating efficiency of our organization and support our strategy of national and regional expansion."

Executives at Tabreed praised the ongoing standard of customer service provided by PeopleSoft throughout the acquisition process with J.D. Edwards. PeopleSoft are currently providing additional training for new users of its software within Tabreed, and will offer specialized advice throughout the implementation of the new plant management modules.

"The acquisition seems to have had a very positive effect on the standard of customer service we receive, extending the help we are offered and deepening the skills base made available to us," said Traboulsi.

"Working with a pioneer like Tabreed is a source of pride for PeopleSoft, because it means that our software is supporting one of the most dynamic and innovative organizations in the region," said Tim Caulkett, Middle East Regional Director, PeopleSoft. "We're delighted that Tabreed is extending its relationship with us through the implementation of the plant management modules, and realizing the benefits of our latest technology."
