SAHM Technologies celebrates first anniversary; expects customer base to increase seven fold

SAHM was launched during GITEX 2002 as the technology subsidiary of EMAAR Properties with the mission to bring exciting new ideas in the world of technology and communications to its customers.

SAHM Technologies has successfully linked up all of EMAAR's current community developments over a state-of-the-art IP-based fibre-optic network infrastructure. With the much-anticipated move to its new office premises on Sheikh Zayed Road, SAHM will have revamped its call centre, data centre and network operation centre services, which will enable the company to extend seamless services, efficient customer support and roll out new innovative products and solutions to the corporate sector as well.

SAHM supports EMAAR Properties such as Emirates Hills, Dubai Marina, Arabian Ranches, The Springs, The Meadows and The Lakes. The entire range of SAHM's Telephony, TV and Internet access services are being deployed across all these world-class communities.

'We knew last year that our decision to set up a specialized technology entity to service EMAAR Properties and its customers was a wise one,' expressed Mr. Arvind Bhatnagar, CEO of SAHM Technologies. 'The SAHM team has done a good job over the last year, and we look forward to further groundbreaking technology innovations that will continue to make the EMAAR home living experience a unique one.'

When the company began operations last year, SAHM operated with only 10 employees, a number which has rapidly expanded to 90 today, including specialists in information technology, network solutions, data centre and call centre management.

Today, SAHM is providing over 250 TV channels with advanced in-home roaming facilities across all EMAAR communities. SAHM subscribers have the choice of having either Internet Protocol or analogue telephone sets with many sophisticated telephone features. SAHM also provides customers with a broad choice of Internet access speeds, including 64 Kbits/s, 215 Kbits/s, 1 Mbit/s and 2 Mbits/s.

'Thanks to a collaborative team effort, we have successfully managed to build on core competencies that allows us to continue as the technology solutions provider of choice for end users in the UAE, ' commented Bhatnagar. The recent extension of the advanced IP network has allowed SAHM to set the standard for many advanced services.

'In recent weeks we have been talking about rolling out futuristic products and services aimed at the home and business segments such as the Video-on-Demand, Game-on-Demand and Interactive-TV. SAHM will be able to deliver on this promise early next year,' added Bhatnagar.
