His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said '' Our partnerships with Business and Industry are an integral part of the learning framework that we have created for our students. This ensures that they are getting an education that is real, applied and current, so that enter or re-enter the professional world, fully equipped and competent, possessing the required competencies skills and knowledge.
After the ceremony Dr. Tayeb Kamali, said 'We are very pleased to partner with a World Class Technology Leader such as MITEL to induct cutting edge Voice over IP technology products and solutions in the HCT and CERT infrastructure. This not only keeps us in pace with new and emerging technologies, but also more importantly provides our students with exposure and learning of these emerging technologies very early on. We hope that this MOU will lead to a longer-term relationship with Mitel in other areas like education and training.
Mr. Graham Bevington, Managing Director Mitel Networks said, 'We are honored and delighted to work with the respected and renowned Higher Colleges of Technology. Mitel believes this will prove the beginning of a very long association, which we anticipate, will provide considerable benefit to both parties in terms of education, technical and commercial opportunities for the students, faculty and staff.
The MOU envisages the implementation of a Mitel Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Platform, donated by MITEL to the Higher Colleges. It also provides for the development of separate and detailed 'project agreements' and the sharing of resources and information that will help the Higher Colleges of Technology and MITEL in achieving their common and mutual objectives.

Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi Men's College, and Managing Director, of CERT, Center of Excellence for Applied Research and Training and Mr. Graham Bevington, Managing Director of MITEL Networks, a world leader in voice and data converged networking solutions, signed an MOU agreeing to cooperate in the introduction of communication technology and enterprise VoIP ( Voice Over Internet Protocol) solutions in HCT and its other associated entities.
