"The internet is increasingly being used by travelers abroad to organize their flights on line, as they are frequently looking for ways to reduce time and effort dedicated to setting up their travel plans," commented Adel Ali, Air Arabia's CEO. "Our focus on on-line booking is what differentiates our business model. We are leveraging the power of Information Technology to enable Air Arabia to take air travel to a new level of efficiency and simplicity," he added.

Air Arabia's website provides detailed information about flights, discounts and special offers, booking procedures, baggage queries, travelers with special needs, check-in procedure, terminal facilities, and links to information on the Sharjah Emirate. In the future the website will allow customers to make discounted bookings for hotels, desert safaris, as well as other holiday destinations in the UAE to complete their holiday experience and to make business travel more enjoyable and affordable. In addition, it posts all significant regional media announcements in the 'news' section to keep the customer updated with the latest developments taking place within the company.

"Surpassing our initial projections, we have experienced an overwhelming response by customers to the launch of Air Arabia's website," said Ali Fairooz, Air Arabia's Sales & Marketing Director. "The website will be bilingual in the future, but the demand from customers to start booking was such that we launched the English site and will follow with the Arabic in due course."

He added: "Its online booking service coupled with its simple and easily navigable nature, allows us to address the needs of a larger untapped segment of the potential air travel market. Features such as fast access to flight options, together with competitive and economical fares mean that it is now possible for people to travel more often and make all of their travel arrangements on the web from the comfort of their own home. The credit card bookings are absolutely protected and customers can be guaranteed of their security."

With its inaugural flight at the end of October, Air Arabia will offer tremendous opportunities to travelers who are looking for competitive fares. Air Arabia aims to make air travel more convenient and frequent, while providing the lowest fares in the market without sacrificing the standards of service offered.
