Microsoft Business Solutions unveils new applications at Gitex 2003

Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) today unveiled a new range of its business applications at Gitex 2003 that reflects Microsoft commitment to building the best solutions for customers across the corporate, medium and small business areas.

Products to be showcased include Microsoft Business Solutions -Axapta, Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains version 7.5, Microsoft Business Solutions - Business Portal and Microsoft Business Solutions - Retail Management System.

"Our applications and services are designed to automate unique business processes and accelerate the success of organizations," said Soha Kamal, Product Management Lead, for MBS in the Middle East. "The new releases reflect Microsoft's commitment to building the best solutions for customers across businesses of all sizes."

Microsoft Axapta is the most comprehensive, mid-market ERP solution available today, which allows customers to fulfill their entire supply chain and manufacturing needs and expand their business quickly and rapidly to extend their processes to the Internet. Microsoft Axapta provides corporate and mid-market enterprises with a solid foundation to collaborate successfully with their customers, partners, employees and suppliers. The solution's functionality spans manufacturing, distribution, supply chain management, project management, financial management, customer relationship management, human resource management and business analytics.

MBS is also previewing, for the first time, Microsoft Business Solutions - Business Portal solution for Great Plains and Solomon. "Business Portal is a great tool that allows our new and existing customers to have immediate, secure web-based access to information from a single web-based portal," explained Kamal.

Built on Microsoft. NET technologies, Microsoft Business Portal integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Great Plains and Microsoft Solomon to deliver applications, information, and processes to employees, customers and partners across the enterprise over the web. Additionally, it provides a range of self service and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management tools that are essential for any organization that is committed to improving their business and processes.

The latest version of Microsoft Great Plains release 7.5 delivers expanded capabilities to help businesses improve efficiency and profitability and responds rapidly to customer demand, empowers management and employees and expands the reach of information and processes across the global enterprise.

"Microsoft Great Plains release 7.5 delivers more effective distribution management, expanded reporting capabilities, flexible expense management, extended integration and many more features that is going to enhance the effectiveness of all our customers," said Kamal.

Scheduled for release in the Middle East by the end of the calendar year, the Microsoft business solutions CRM application version 1.2, is being previewed at the MBS stand at Gitex. Microsoft CRM has been developed to offer businesses an easy-to-use and powerful tool for building lasting and profitable relationships with their customers and enhancing their sales and customer services capabilities.

"Microsoft CRM enables businesses to take advantage of technology and related services that were previously reserved for big companies with sizable IT budgets. The global demand for a thin client and Microsoft Outlook based CRM solution, built on a single platform and developed with leading technologies, has been overwhelming," ends Kamal.
