Iran to issue new currency notes

Iran will soon print currency notes that will be double the highest denomination currently in use. The new notes of USD2.4 (rial 20,000) are an acknowledgement of high inflation and will be in circulation by February. Officially, Inflation in Iran is at 16.6 per cent. Unofficially, it is estimated at close to 35 per cent.
